Question

Ashbys ninja has a vac booster that fits on to the exhaust to boost air flow. costs around £600.

Could you replace the booster and just hock up say a sensei, or second machine to do the same job of the boster?

I think you can we had an old sen but the new ones are up to date with the out let to take the booster,not 100% but think this is the case,we have ninja

i want to use replace the booster with an old sensi, and the if needs be have the booster from solutions as well. this should give more reach and the very high air flow when needed.

You know what its like no two jobs are the same, being able to have more reach and provided fast drying times gives me choices

two reasons regards the sensi, one, i have an old one and, two cost, save the £600 to buy solutions booster.

One other option i am thinking about is the new hydrosonic wand that steve pointed out

i think having the ninja, two boost options, and the wand should provide me with  a nice setup that gives top end performance.

Having just had the experience of the eclipse has show me what portability is about. you don't want it all in one machine. having it in parts that can be used as and when, is more effective to the user and not compromising customer benefits.

Ian are you sure about the hydrasonic wand? the euphoria has now gone from the US boards about it as everytime something new comes out everyone has to be the first in. IMO I'd contact Jeff @ greenglides and he will tell you what he thinks he's a good honest bloke and won't let you waste good money.

Ian have you ever thought of a Wonder Wand, they do dry carpets faster than a conventional 1.5" bore?

I have been thinking about the cfr hand tool, have you seen it at work at any show etc?

the hand tool is a must have, you get the trigger attachment but can change the heads, 5" and 3".

I have a cfr wonderwand I changed the jets and it cleans faster and drier than a normal wand only thing is with my TM it does get locked to the floor so I tend to go for my glided westpak with the 2" tube and 14" head.

Well worth investing in good quality tools and cfr wands and tools are very good and very well made (better than 99% of other rubbish on the market)

SHAUN   I changed my cfr wand for the glide version as the agitation strip would dig in with certain carpets and make it very hard work.Since then I can clean with one hand using the
500psi to help with the occasional agitation.I would imagine with your truckmount pressure
and vac power the wand locking on would be easier to handle using the cfr glide.

The conventional 11" push forward CFR wands are available with a pair of rollers (better on cust piles) or with a metal plate glide (better on low profiles) As far as I'm aware, no CFR tool accepts the Teflon or plastic glides.

The Wonder Wand is a 12" more conventional type wand which you draw backwards but operates with the CFR type of water delivery at the head.

I've had both wands and the wonderwand is far easier to use, and I believe it makes you have good 'wand technique' when you are extracting because of the way it is designed.

I would have thought that if you were experiencing locking of the head
due to highpowered suction,then a forward pushing motion would be easier than a dragging one.By the way Ken for what its worth I have`nt found that much difference between the
two forward pushing models except for the extra physical effort.and the annoying rattling
sound of the roller.

Ian - I've got the Vac Booster - think I paid £500 plus the dreaded for it. Have top of the pops vac system and it gives really good performance. You can put the exhaust to another machine if you want (I think), but the Vac Booster is very neat.
