jealousy rears its ugly head ::) ::)

I'm the 3rd best looking carpet cleaner in the UK and you lot can't stand it ;D ;D

the only scary thing about my ad is the obscene amount of money it makes me!

booked my first job today off the new book ( its been out a week) but some will still be using the old one ::)

it was a 3pc @ £130 and they chose to have their kitchen cleaned for free, I was the only company they called

12ish grand would be about right ( cost of ad 2)

I've forgot to say this advert is nearly an exact copy of my leaflet so I get a lot of people calling me from the Y/Ps who tell me they received my leaflet loads of times, that why they called me

I had the same leaflet made up as Mikes which he gave me the last time I saw him.His January offer leaflet was a winner so I cannot see why this one will not work either, people love the word "free"

I used to have a double column by 2.5" deep. cost about 1100.
Last year I had a single column by same depth and it has not made any difference at all to the response.
When I put a photograph of me instead of a cartoon the response went up by 35%. The small ad pays for itself in about 3 weeks (thats profit not turnover)

C+++ D++++ always have a cheesey picture as it works. One of our locals include their 6 month old baby.

The local rep said that a big ad can frighten custs off.

Thanks Mike, i've heard that yp usually brings in about 5 fold.

What makes an advert more successful?
Selling quality of clean or leading the customer into thinking they're getting a really good deal ie making them think they're gonna get a bargain if they phone you...?
