I know about removing Candle Wax from carpets with a warm iron and brown paper. But does anyone have any suggestions for removing any further residue ?

I have a customer some distance away who has carried out the former action but asks if I can go and remove what's left. I just wondered if their any good products that you can reccomend?

just a stab in the dark......i maybe wrong......but i think that maybe you have some type of oil left left try citrus gel.........followed with hwe to remove the gel

I find co spotter best for this.

just be careful that the customer has not melted the top of the carpet if its synthetic, seen this on so many occasions over the years. if its just wax residue you cant beat citrus gel .

Solutions eco spotter and one step's zap it as suggested above will disolve the wax after a few mins and you can flush away with ease, there really is no need for irons and brown paper anymore

Thanks all for the helpful advice. Have got some Citrus gel on board so will try that first.
Matt, I learned about the Brown Paper when I was a lad. When 'Eco Spotter' was a bloke with unkempt hair, a beard and who lived in a converted single decker bus on a travellers site.

a kettle of hot water, gets it out everytime I've used it. pour it on slowly, suck it up

I have found the careful use of a hair drier to be the best and quickest way to remove candlewax

My reply did sound a bit ageist Les,my apolgies, i grew up spending a lot of time with my grandparents so i'm well versed in the old remedy's ! Some you just can't beat

Alltecs chewing gum remover works really well, but check the backing first i done one recently that was foam backed and i made a right mess
