It seems to clean well enough Gary, but you might have a long wait before vacuuming...............it's a chrystalising foam and " in theory " is vacuumed after cleaning.

According to the demonstrator, the staff cleaners would vacuum it out in the morning :-\
Wasn't sure about that.
Were you at Cupar Gary?
Cheers.

do you think someone will pay you for "half a service " which leaves someone else to finish the job ?

i've got the cimex encap dvd & have seen it demonstrated, was impressed. my mate who does bonnet buffing exclusively, uses it only on commercial carpets and he really rates it. i'd rather use catalyst or micro.

I saw a demo about 6 months ago and considered ways of using the product, but reckon it's pretty expensive, compared to similar products.

I've been offerd a cimex machine so this thread comes at a good time ! I have been wondering how soiled carpets would look the morning after ,,i'm sure the vaccuming is important but would the residue be very visible once dry ? I've lost count of the custy's who ask whether a vacuum is required once dry,,,and although i use hwe i always say yes it wouldn't hurt to do it. My only worry with encapsulation is having to go back to vacuum if the residue is very visible,if it looks clean i'm sure you could swing it so that the cleaners carry out there usual routine the next day.

Encap is massive in the States and Australia, and growing in popularity here. Some CC's will use it after HWE on problematic carpets too.

You can cost the job so that you post clean vac yourself or, after instructing the client accordingly, leave them to vac it for themselves. If you like, you can call it a Standard and Premium Service.

If the job is big enough, so that you are on site long enough, you can post vac when you've finished encapping.

Cimex would appear to be the tool of choice everywhere.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

I was one of the guys making an arse of myself trying to steer it.
If you try to use it as a rotary it wont go where you want, it just has a mind of its own.
I wish the demonstrator had of mentioned that. ;D
I would like another go at it though.

the machine is actually very easy to use and will even stand still if you wished ( unlikely) as Ken says, it's big elsewhere, but, like microsplitters, it's not new, just never been aggressively marketed and I should add, the Cimex product has a soil inhibitor so unlikely to leave anything other than dry crystals

It's like turning the clock back 20 years when foam was the main method, either through a rotary with soft brush and regulated feed, or through largish machines, which could work in both directions.

Maybe next year, we will be back to deck scrubbers !!!!!!!!!!

The main selling point..................is high productivety, but this is wiped out by the requirement to post vac................also, it's aimed at the commercial market, which means, you can forget about premium pricing.
