« on: February 08, 2007, 09:37:41 pm »
This is what i created today.
It is made from brass tube and stove laquered for the winter weather.

I going to see if i can put a swivel joint on my next bent arm so i can adjust.

Hi david

Thats a great looking gooseneck i think the brass finish looks better than the standard alloy finish.

Can you tell me what stove laquer is.

I keep thinking about making some of my own parts but never get round to it i usually convert things.

I must have a go at trying to make a few things though.

david68, that look really good mate - having worked in manufacturing engineering for a while I can appreciate your imagination and the quality of finish.

e-mail me with a price for them please and I'll think about taking one or two for a trial.

cheers

Hi JM123
The alloy piece attached to the brush is from another pole manufacture,
So i am wondering to get a die cast made to make my own or change the alloy casting to brass tubing.

Hi Paul

The stove laquer is around £180 for 25 lts.....will found out what type for you.

Hi David,

Out of professional interest, what is the weight of your brass (looks good) gooseneck? Also what does the brush and cast alloy (Omnipole methinks) brush bracket weigh?

I will weigh it and get back to you.
Brass tube will not be to heavy but the brass turn parts on each end may weigh a bit.
Let you know later

Excellent job - my wife's got jewellery less shiny than that!
