Citroen Berlingo (or other small van) owners wfp pictures.
« on: February 04, 2007, 03:47:46 pm »
Hi,

Does anyone have some pictures of their wfp setup in a small van, preferably picture of a Citroen Berlingo or Peugeot Partner.

Would help a great deal, since I want to get an idea of how to install it.

Many thanks. :)

I was speeking to a fiend of mine who does windoes in liverpool city center with a WFP, he say that he wouldnt dream of putting a system in a small van, me personaly dont have much of a clue on this subject so he might be wrong, but just thought i would share this knowledge.  ;)

I have a doblo and no probs. I have a 1200 litre tank on board and there is space around the sides for another 200 litres in top up canisters. Its amazing how much a 630 payload can take.

Hi
Your Doblo is very overloaded if you are filling the 1200 litre tank full of water and carrying extra water. Must be a typo error somewhere.

why not?
I`ve cleaned WFP in Liverpool from a VW Caddy for close on the past 2 years and it is fantastic.
I have a mate who works commercial in Liverpool from a trailer WFP and he thinks it is a pain and now only uses it when it is impossible to use anything else.
He is on the lookout for a van based system.

Just joking :) Its a for hundred litre tank and its under payload. And I don't fill it quite to the top. It's def under cos I went to a weighbridge. I cant tell when it's full or empty, the van feels the same. A small van system is no probs, but not 1200 litres! ;)

I think he was tlaking more about with you crash and what effec all the weight will have, but each to your own seems many people have tryd and tested it and are very happy  :)

as lomg as the weight of system with water is below the payload limit and securely fixed..a small/medium sized van is fine.

Have a look here how NOT to fix a water tank in a van!!

a 1300 L reach and wash system, a 1000 L IBC tank wedged in the rear and a 175 L flat tank behind the bulkhead and 3 X 25 L barrels

all powered by a Freedom trolley ( my guess this isnt a freedom van system )

Now i can see one of the ionics lot (it might be  John Peters first job monday morning, so i wouldnt expect him to reply to posts here for a bit  ;D ;D )contacting ebay about the use of the term " reach and wash "

crash testing any1  ::)

I had a transit 700 ltr but down sized to transit connect 400ltr tanks as with microbore and varistream never used more than half a tank of the 700ltr one not even when i have done 60 flats.Windows only need very little amount of water not gallons of the stuff.

Load of rubbish about not using a small van for wfp cleaning Tucker Pole systems make systems specifically for small vans so where that idea came from i havent got the foggiest?

From Tucker Pole Systems uk

This 360 litre one man operated system is designed to be strapped down in a small Escort sized van. It is easily removed if the vehicle has a dual purpose.

Payload 650kg remember after about the second hour of the day your system is dramatically reduced in weight because of the water you have used so youonly ever near your paylod first thing.
