Emergency item you might never use
« on: February 01, 2007, 04:08:11 pm »
I've been carrying it round for years but have never used it until yesterday. It saved the day and cost about 80p. FUSE WIRE. Was doing a job in an old property with old fuse wire fuses when the sockets fuse blew. Luckily the fuse wire saved the day.
Another thing thats saved the day a few times is super glue. Amazing how this can sort out a broken ornament.

I remember my old man smashing a mirror on a wardrobe door with the wand, at the end of the job we walked the customer around the job, she was well happy, i looked at my dad walked back to the van and heard him say "oh by the way" as i was walking off, he looked like a comdemmed man i had to laugh , it wasnt too bad in the end we got her a new door for £45 and offered to fit it her but she declined, maybee she though we'd break that one also.

A guy knocked his wand down the stairs. He watched in horror as it bounced towards a £1000 stained glass window. To his relief it bounced off...................then continued down the stairs and demolished a £6000 china leopard :o

I once put a wand through the side of an armchair, luckily it was possible to make an invisble repair.
Always lie your wand down!
