NCCA Axminster Factory Visit
« on: January 31, 2007, 05:47:02 pm »
Last year, the NCCA organised a very isuccessful, educational and enjoyable visit to the Axminster Carpets Weaving Mill in Devon.

This year, we have been invited back and will be visiting their Buckfast Spinning Mill.  This visit may be even more appropriate to our skills as carpet cleaners as we will see how they process wool from fleece through to yarn. The scouring, teasing, spinning, dyeing and twist setting processes, amongst others, will all help to bring our knowledge of wool fibre/yarn upto date.

As a bonus, we will have a tour around another of their factories. We shall visit the tannery where they process hides into sheepskin rugs.

Due to the nature of the facilities and timings on the day, there will not be any seminars or sponsors for this event, but the Directors Board Room has been made available for our lunch.

The event takes place on Thursday 12th April at 9.00am at:
Axminster Carpets Spinning Mill
Buckfast
Devon.

Tickets for the event, including lunch, are £35 inc. V.A.T.  NCCA Members £25inc.V.A.T.

For H&S reasons, we are very limited on numbers for this event, so early booking is essential. To reserve your place, call the NCCA Office on 0116 271 9550

Safe and happy cleaning :)

This event is now fully subscribed.

As there is always the possibility of someone dropping out, there is always a chance that a place could become available, so you could always try calling the NCCA Office on 0116 271 9550

Safe and happy cleaning :)
