ive just bought a 400ltr tank and a shurlfo pump(60psi), I was just wondering if anybody has a diagram of how to fit it all together to get it working.

I already have the backpack system, so i have a pole and i use a DI canister at the moment.
Also i only plan on using one pole with it and will not be using a RO unit.

So at the moment i have:-

a 400 ltr tank
a 60 psi shurflo pump
hose reels (not microbore yet)
pole
DI bottle

Can anyone help please. I just dont want to set it up wrong and ruin something.
Any help would be great please guys

Tank - outlet hose goes to pump inlet - pump outlet to di vessel inlet - di vessel outlet to hose reel - hose reel to pole and brush.

Might be worth getting a couple of water butts or an IBC and having them filled all times back at home.
Drop in a submersible pump and whenever you need to fill the tank in your van, just take off the van tank lid, put in large diameter hose from submersible pump, plug pump in and your van will be full in about 2 minutes.

i guess i just connect the better to the pump then. Or do most people go off the van battery?

You can go off the van battery, but I just have a 85amp lesieur batt which will last me 3-4 days then take in and charge at night. Had it for 6 month now!

I forgot the battery
I also use a 85amp leisure battery. Easy to wire up the pump to it. Might be an idea to fit small crocodile clips to the ends of your pump wires and you can just clip these onto your battery. This way, you could also have an extra battery fully charged with you in the van and as one starts to empty of charge, you can just unclip and clip onto the second fully charged battery. You will get a weeks work out of this set up and recharge them at the weekend.
I got my battery and charger from Halfords but you can get them much cheaper from independant battery suppliers.
On a full charge, I can get 2 full days work out of mine.

Don't forget to fit a strainer between the tank and pump to protect it from any debris.

Does anyone know where i can pick up an 85amp leisure battery and what price im looking at?

Is thit how much i should be looking at paying?
and what voltage should i get?

go for a 110 battery mine is brill, i also have a varistream controller for my pump saves the pump going all th time it cuts of the pump when it senses you are not needeing the water,but you dont need a varistream but id get 1,

for all the extra cost of going for the 110Ah battery against the 85Ah its well worth it - loads more life in them and will give you plenty of power right till there's nothing left.
