ANY IDEAS!
« on: November 24, 2006, 05:37:04 pm »
I have a Prochem Steempro Powermax, with a 100psi pump approx 2 years old. I was quite happy with it until I purchased a new one (getting busy), same spec etc, but the pump pressure was significantly better. The pump on the old machine was has only been repaced in last 6 months, so why the difference.

I have even used the old wand and hose on the new machine to see if there are any blockages, but still pressurised as before, and have used the new wand and hose on the old machine but no improvement.

Any thoughts???

Dan

Could be a faulty pressure switch. It could be sticking?

Or the brushes could be burnt out?

Just a thought!

I thought on that as I use a water fed pole system for window cleaning every day and I had problems with my pump. The brushes were burning out.

I got a new brush kit for mine! A lot of hassel though.

If this was to happen to me again I would just buy a new pump. For the sake of a £120 Its a lot less hassel. Just my oppinion though.

Paul just bought same pump from Vernon Purcell for one of my machines. £116.33 I seem to remember seeing an invoice for. Think thats about as cheap as they get?(pretty much on a par) Unless your's from woodbridge included vat?
