free phone or local
« on: November 23, 2006, 02:28:06 pm »
i stay within 15 mins o 4 phone code areas. Two of the areas have much bigger population than my local area.

I have a free phone number but i am thinking of getting local area numbers for marketing purposes, or is the cost of this not worth it should i just keep the free phone number?

Am looking at this company does anybody use them or similar conpany? http://www.smartnumbersuk.com/

Hi James,

I agree with cleaning co,

Local numbers work for me.......  Tried 0800 and wasn't worth the effort or cost.

People prefer to call a local number!

All the best,
Jason.

Thats a rubbish deal!

Have a look at http://www.uk2numbers.co.uk

With them you just pay a 1 time fee (from £9.95) for a local 0845 number, there are then no monthly fees or call charges.

Hi James,

That doesn't sound too bad for 7 numbers.... Does that cost include re-direction to your own preferred number? If so its not a bad price!

Andy, no disrespect but 0845 numbers in my opinion are the same as 0800, people would still rather call a local area code!

Kind regards,
Jason.

I totally agree - Thats why I just use a local area code number for my business.

Surely in the long run the deal from uk2numbers that I mentioned above is much better? For 7 numbers you would pay a one off fee of £9.95 per number (total £69.65) with no call charges instead of paying £39.95 every month + call charges!
