just to clarify the after pic was not the same as the before pic. i admit to being crap at taking pics the after pic was in the same house my apologies for any misundersatanding. it was not meant to  mislead the living room was a wool twist which was i thought totally trashed but came up like new.
All I wanted to do was  inform everyone about my findings. if you do not want to try the stuff then dont i dont care if any of the stuff gets sold i have no dealings with cornwall . i will be testing the other one when it comes next week from john kelly side by side and if it proves to be as good or better i will then buy that instead , thats after the 10 litres i have just bought from solutions runs out

Hi All,

I checked the amount of solution I was recovering versus the amount put in my tank when I started in September. About 85% was recovered from the carpets I cleaned, but this is probably on the low side as I was just getting a good technique going. This was the amount of extraction solution with me using ca 40L. I only put down about 3L of prespray so would think that most of the pre spray was extracted and / or very heavily diluted and it was mainly extraction solution left in the carpet.

I tend to think that there would be very little prespray left in the carpet after extaction and even if there was the percentage would be so low that even if still active whilst wet would not really be doing anything visual. The customer commenting that the carpets look even better the next day is probably due to the fact it is fully dry and has been gone over with a 'oovah.

Regards,

Adam.

When rinsing any pre-spray the clean water sprayed onto the carpet is no longer clean water. Once it hits the fibres and the pre-spray it becomes diluted pre-spray. It is likely that there is some active product left in the carpet. This would be the case unless the carpet was rinsed over and over again leading to over wetting.
You can clearly see this when I submerge clean, rugs, even using a hose pipe to flush it clean, it is often ten to fifteen minutes before the water runs clear.

carpetclean, many thanks for posting the pics. Based on the pictures I will most likely buy a sample pack in the near future and try it for myself.
