I have to quote for a large open plan office with 6 smaller offices off it.
I am planning on using a Low Moisture system - Thermadry.
It's a low profile carpet. Approx 5 yrs old and very dirty.

Firstly I am unsure what to quote? I'm thinking about estimating man hours and using an hourly rate - would 30-40 per hour be in the right ball park? (Work will be carried out after office hours)

Secondly is it possible to use pre-sprays before using Low moisture systems or do you have to use HWE when using pre-sprays?
Whats the best way to clean it with a Low moisture/ heated rotary machine please?
Any advice from people more experienced than myself would be a big help.

Ask the manufacturers of your system about use of their products. You may require specific pre-sprays. I supect that the same solution that you use for pads will also be used as a pre-spray.

I use Dry Fusion and do a lot of this type of work.  I charge by the sqM but would be saddened if I earn't less than £100 per hour.  £200 per hour is not uncommon.  And this is just for me and my wife working together.

Compared with HWE, you will be much quicker.  The labour costs per sqM will be less, but your consumable costs will be considerably greater.  You should also cost laundering of your pads. The cost of providing credit terms should also be costed.

Your suggested rate is far too low and is for earning a living only.  My rates are for running a business and making a profit.  Profit is not a dirty word.

Kens right I would be looking at £100 per hour, but your not confident and not experienced in this type of work.
Get yourself a decent price, take your time, get the
experienced, then the confidence will come all by itself. 

Iv not used Thermadry or Dry Fusion (would like to see it in action)
If it works for Ken then I`m not going to argue.

Presuming you have specified all files, personal possessions and other bits and pieces to be removed from the floor so that the only things you move are individual chairs, I would expect 300 sqM to be completed in about 3 hours as part of a planned maintenance programme.  For a first clean or a one off, it could be 4 to 6 hours.  This is for a two-man team and a single open plan office.

Earlier this year, my wife and I cleaned 246.5M² of open plan office as a first time/one off in exactly 3 hours and earnt more than £200 per hour. This was with Dry Fusion.
