squeegee rubber
« on: September 30, 2006, 06:09:14 pm »
i have heard several guys on here saying that they chage their squeegee rubber on a daily basis. This confuses me slightly as i dislike a new rubber and much prefer mine when it has worn in after a few days use.May be it is just me. ???

Hey
I change mine when it starts to leave marks or lines.
Why waste money.

I'm with you on this one glimmerman. I much prefer it when my rubber is worn in. When i place a new rubber in my channel it feels as though it's sticking to the window slightly until i've done a few.

Hey
you work with what you feel comfortable with.

I do not like to waste money even over something as cheap as a rubber.

I change my rubbers every couple of weeks.
I also prefer them worn in.

just seems crazy replacing them each day! they work far better worn in imho even then you can usually turn them over. ;)

Thats right as soon as they nick flip them around.
They last a lot longer.
Put a squeegee handel rubber in the area that the squeegee goes in to on your b.o.a.b.
This will protect the rubber whilst it is in the b.o.a.b and make them last longer as well.

i mush prefer a new rubber. Most windows dont even need detailing if you clean them right when the rubber is new.
