we was looking at the Rhino machines as compared to the ninja,spec quite high on Rhino much cheaper to buy than ninja,any one got  a Rhino
or know any one that has used these,are they as good as ninja or better,
your thoughts please or advice

Hi there Terry,
As i am fairly new to carpet cleaning i can only give my opinion on my rhino, but i must say i am chuffed to bits with mine. It's achieved brilliant results on every job i have used it on so far it looks fairly easy to work on should anything go wrong with it (fingers crossed that won't happen for a little while yet). I must say i couldn't find any other machine with as good as spec for the money hope this helps you abit anyway.

you have to be joking, there are a number of machines, easily found on the web, of which the Rhino is one.

there are several with 500 psi and three stage / twin vacs and they're not exactly new to the market.

what is really interesting, is the incredible diference in the price charged by importers of these machines.

Puzzles me, how companies like Prochem have a pro rata retail price, on both sides of the Atlantic, but others are DOUBLE the cost in the UK.

£700 and more over the top for the same and better spec

Mike, I have to agree with Angela. How can you not of heard of "Rhino" machines. They have been around for years, at least the 13 I have been in business for, or there abouts. Best, Dave.

Terry, i bought mine from masterclean it has a 500 psi pump which is adjustable and 2x3 stage vacs i also got a twin jet wand with mine, this is the only machine i have ever owned but i think i made the best decision especially for the price. I don't think you will go to far wrong with this machine mate, i too was looking at ninjas etc but they cost more than double what i paid for mine, let us know how you get on,

Terry the rhino for sale on ebay is from Vernon Purcell who is a member of this forum and believe he sells lots of machines. Have a word with him and am sure he will have answers and maybe a demo? Let me know how ya get on mate as i too am intereted in the rhino. It looks a good machine for money and most parts are interchangeable nowadays(motors, pumps etc)

John Kelly did say on his machine he receives little or no discount from US supplier.


Then has all the hazzle of getting it here.


I know how you feel I want to buy some kit but know its a lot cheaper in the states.

I have seen on a site a rhino fitted with 3x3 stage vacs!  now thats gotta be as good as a porty gets! ashbys reckon with their set-up ya can use 400ft of hoses so that rhino must be same?

My understanding is that each VAC motor pulls about 1200watts of power, thats excluding the water pump. How can the normal house hold circuit handle that type of power pull.

Peter yes i heard they have strengthening beams fitted. It must be on a par with the scorpion then? But as Jeremy says how many power cords are there-plus you will need one for a heater and i use powerbrushes also  That would keep the custys meter spinning nicely I would go the t/m option but i need portables on contract jobs plus am from Yorkshire and tight so dont want to pay for fuel etc!

rhinomachine must be made of weaker plastic then as ninja with 3 vacs dont need modifying !
now i hav 2 rhinos and a ninja and hand on heart can honstly say the ninja is the better machine rhino good but ninja better
how much is the rhino and what spec is it?
for around the 3000 pound mark including vat u get 400 psi pump adjustable pump tec pump 2 3 stage vacs heavy duty a 3000 watt bilt in v2 heater a 1500 w tank heater adjustable themo control for both heaters low level cut offs for both heaters a large cooling fan auto pump out with hose auto fill  two 50ft leads plus imo allround better build q   and if u dont need heat on a job u can just run it of one plug as the pump and vacs run on one  and the heaters run on the other plug  also handy if u want to hav a third vac running u only hav to hav to hav 2 plugs in plugs in 
my rhino machines has 400psi pump 2x3stage vacs 200watt buit in heater     runs on spilt circut ie  one lead runs the pump one vac and half the heater the other runs one vac and half a heater has no temp control has no low water cut out for heaters has no auto fill or auto dump pump only 20ft leads has to hav 3 leads to run extra vac has to be mody to run 3 vacs  cant hav built in heater for 3 vacs cant hav a 3000 watt built in heater because of wireing set up   cant be run of one lead  and the lead which runs the pump and one vac and half the heater tends to trip ellectrics some times as it pulls to much power and will melt an ext lead !!  mine hav ! also has much smaller cooling fan with not enough vents imo
but they are a good high powerd porty but just not as good as ninja in performace and build q  the v2 heaters are superb and the suck is better and a lot more thoght gos into how they are put together rember the ninja is built here the rhino across the water  the ninja is perfect for running as a truckmount if u want like i do the rhino u can but just not as good imo with a setup like mine u can clean for 8 hours non stop without even going back to the van if needs be        just rember these opions are coming from someone who has used both machines and still owns both machines and would still recomend a rhino to someone whos budget will only go as far as a rhino but if u hav few more pounds then !!!!!!!!!

I think you will find that the Ninja already has strengthening bars. I recollect some years ago, the CFR machines were recalled as the recovery tanks were splitting.

The replacements had strenghthening bars installedwhich resolved the problem and interestingly, this was a single vac machine, but still had incredible pulling power.

Hi All,

I recently bought one of Vernon Purcell's Masterclean inline heaters. I have used it all this week and it is a absolutely  brilliant piece of kit! I received a flyer in my package for a 300 psi Rhino with heater for £1199 +vat. This is machine only but I'm sure I saw a post somewhwere where the wand and hoses were included. They are also listing 500psi machines on ebay one went today, last time I looked it was at £880. These surely must be an absolute screaming bargain compared to a Ninja. I think Mr Purcell also builds the machines here in the UK but I'm not 100% on that. If they perform anything like his heater I'd be going the Masterclean route. As Red Carpet said in an other post if you're going to go to the 3-4K bracket why not go the whole hog for an entry level T/M or Prowler

What machine are you using?
Do you experience a drop in pressure with the inline heater?
Not a problem if you have adjustable psi, sadly I don't.

Been using the Prochem one. Good to get started when the hot waters not
been switched on, but wouldn't want to work with it all day.
