Is it realistic to buy a tank that holds 400 litres and a 75psi shurflo pump for £200?
seen a few items on ebay and online shops. Is this realisti then or am i missing something.

Hi,
do you mean is that all you need in your vehicle for a static home processing system?
If so yes, basically all you have in your vehicle is a tank, particulate filter (to protect the pump) a pump, then you just plug your hose reel in and off you go.
If you are using a shurflo you will need a varistream/ecoflow as they do not warranty the pumps without electronic control now. The flojet pumps can be used without it though.

yeah, i just mean in the van. Ive got a pole and i am using a DI vessel, as i only use wfp for some jobs, maybe twice a week.
I was offered a 1000ltr tank for £70 the other day. It sounds cheap to me. It used to store soap i think, and i have been told it will have been cleaned out completely, but still, do you think it will contaminate pure water?

Thats a big tank, hope its baffled. I have cleaned and used old soap containers for RO, they do need a lot of rinsing.
I also recycled one for drinking water, you could still taste and smell it after 6 months.
