Hi everyone,
Doing a carpet 4x4mtr in a hospital, needs cleaning due to a leaking roof, the carpet is now dry but smells,roofing firm contacted me and asked me if I could take this on, firstly Im just a bit concerned that would I go about it just like cleaning an average carpet? or would I need to do something else regarding the treatment process?
secondly what price would you guys look at doing it for?

All electrical equipment will need to be PAT tested, possibly by one of the hospitals own electricians, before you can use it. Hospitals are strict on this sort of thing. check beforehand what the requirements are.

The first thing you need to find out is what is actually underneath the carpet, is it underlay or vinyl or even concrete, after a flood of any meaninful size, the first thing you must do is ensure that all water is actually removed, if you don't, you will recieve a call back because of the smell!

Depending on the size of the problem, you could find yourself, removing the carpet and any underlay, cleaning and sanitising the hard floor surface, replacing or cleaning the underlay if present, then re-laying the carpet and finally cleaning the carpet, goes without saying that all cleaned materials should be dried slowly to avoid shrinking, best of luck!

May I start with a big thank you for your advice, However I've completed it now, I was very consious about a high level of water damage! but on checking from the surface of the carpet it seemed dry. I have taken note of what you have said and I am greatful for your advice.
