Hi All,

I'm buying a new vacuum for pre cleaning is there any difference in quality/perfomance between the Sebo bs 36 and the karcher cv36? my local dealer also has a lindhaus 38 which he says is at a super price, £270 inc vat, it looks very nice and is quiet in operation. Can the Karcher or Lindhaus cut it with the Sebo (which I guess is the industry standard) The karcher is £220 inc vat and the Sebo is £230.

Any views would be appreciated.

I dont know if it is still the case but........Lindhaus at one time and may be still was the only vac

reccommended to be used in hospitals. Accordingly technically in terms of what it doesnt put back into

the air it has always been the superior machines. But I havent vacced in many years so this may just

be old info. Best, Dave.

Wouldnt anything with a hepa filter be suitable for hospitals???

Red, I have no idea.....There isnt too much need for a vac in a hospital these days as it is mostly hard

floors that arent vacced. But I stress again I have no idea as I havent used a vac on a job for years.

i think you are right red as thats what the hepa filter is for but saying that i am sure there are different standards of hepas

There are some serious HEPA vacs on the market now, ie the Nilfisk GM but these are mostly cylinder types. I've decided to go for the the Sebo as most of the guy's I met on the NCCA course were using them and its £40 cheaper than the Lindhaus. I think you can get a hepa for the sebo anyway? Coming from a background of anti-asthmatic
and particle size research. I have my doubts about the lifespan of a hepa filter in a upright vacuum, due to the small size and surface area.

Hi All,

After a few hours of web searching I managed to get a brand new Lindhaus RX 450 HEPA for £195 inc vat and delivery.  

Just need to get a sprayer and a turbo fan and I'll be up and running.

Dear All,

I recieved my new Lindhaus RX450 and once I'd unpacked it and put it together I was dying to try it out. My wife who has never seen a 'oover quite like it took over and gave the whole house a once over. What a vacuum cleaner! We have carpets of varying pile lengths and materials and it brought them all up like new resetting the pile nicely and all in a fraction of the time of the cylinder. I bought this for the buisness but after using it my wife declared our baggless cylinder vac redundant. So buying her a RX38 or Sebo BS36 for the house.

Very Impressed and with HEPA filtration too, praise to the twin motor upright.

now off to ebay.
