Daz why is that sediment filter so orange ? Reason I’m asking is I’ve used an ro system for 17 years and never had a filter that colour
4 month intervals(sediment and chlorine filters). Same condition as last time.

It’s rust from old metal pipes

Wow  that’s a bit concerning as it’s drinking water

Im making a tank frame for my second van, going to have reels mounted on it for pressure washing then a wfp setup as well.

In my main window cleaning van abs light has come on so ive that to investigate and going to change oil and filter on both.
Then just need to clean it all out fix a couple of small leaks ready for next week

Will drain tank/pumps down and bring RO/Di into shed tomorrow as might freeze before monday. Looking like a cold start to Jan, typical its been good weather this week so far.

-6 here at the moment. I’ll be leaving it until after 10am as I don’t fancy my water freezing on paths after I’ve cleaned.

Ice melt grit at the ready and a sweeping brush. I always offer to grit customers driveways and paths esp if they are elderly in this weather.

I'll head off at 9am for a 930am start. Most of the kids are back to school today so I like to miss the morning rush.

The main problem is side roads. My car is a small SUV and is fine on icy/snowy roads but my van,not so much. I don't have winter tyres on my van. I'm mainly cleaning estate work this week so not much driving about.

On the plus side it's going to be nice and sunny!🙂👍

Minus 2 with a layer of snow. I`ll set off at 9 and see what happens but its gonna be freezing on the glass till at least 10 or 11 i think

Ive never had anyone complain about leaving slippy paths so wont worry about that i sometimes give the doorway a sweep with the wfp if its an obvious puddle.

I`ll do my jobs in a diff order to avoid steep side streets and and connys till later.

Take a 25l barrel of hot water in case jets and hoses start freezing on the ground.

A half assed first day back is isnt a bad thing though  :)

Today worked out OK actually.

Started on my first house at 9.15 - it was cold (-2) but with gorgeous sunshine. FInished about 2.15 and other than blading one door and putting a bit of ice melt down and brushing away from a couple of pathways it was a normal day. Supple hoses and a bit of warmth from the immersion so that was nice.

In fact one old dear gave me a belated Xmas gift - bottle of Malbec and a box of shortbread. I've got a weekend away early February - I'll keep it 'til then.
It's a game of three halves!

My work schedule was cleaned as normal although it was borderline for the first 2 hours as it was -5 which IMO is the limit for wfp with a hot system.
One customer actually paid me NOT to clean her windows as she didn't want water left on her steep driveway. Fair enough.

It was great to be back out there. It was actually a nice day to be out and about. A really lovely,January day, fresh, sunny and cold with stunning countryside views blanketed in snow....

I also gritted a few customers driveways.😎👍

Decent day, left it until 10:30 and cleaned 2 offices. Even at 10:30 it was -4° still but rising, second job in the afternoon actually felt colder but was aas high as 0. Glad most of my work is commercial on days like this tbh.

Same again tomorrow morning by the looks of it then warming up Tuesday into Wednesday evening.

Finally got started at 11am. Latest ive ever started. Tried at 9:30 but all windows on 1st house froze up so went to shops and came back.

Managed to get round them all though for 3pm.

Then got home and my transfer hose was solid took another hour to refill my van.
