Hi

just received notice from severn trent they are mandatory enforcing water meter charging which ws previously fitted but never requested by us,

Is there any way i can appeal against this.

Thank you.

Any ideas on how much it costs on a water meter for 1000 litre tank?

Below will only apply is your running an ro system
If your waste water is returned to sewer , then get an approved sub meter fitted in line for filling tank send waste water onto garden  or pond etc ,then it’s not being returned to sewer.advise them what you doing and tell them your a window cleaner and you’ve fitted a sub meter ,once the sub meter is fitted give them the start reading as it won’t be zero
When they bill you give them the sub meter reading and that will calculate the difference will save you a couple of hundred quid a year,I’ve done it for years with souther water no issues at all.
I’m assuming your filling via an ro,if not you just have to suck it up and pay
