And it's cheap too.  Silver/Black 260 GSM Tarpaulin Waterproof Heavy Duty Tarp Sheet Cover.  ( Needs to be the Silver/Black as that's the thicker one.   I bought the 3x4m one, folded in half for even better protection.  It covers my tank and real in full.

It's not going to fully protect you, but mines kept everything toasty and protected in -3 night conditions without issue.

That won’t do anything of note imo.

Can’t beat an oil filled rad with stat on low.

I bought some of that 10mm rubber insulation with a silver backed foil with the really sticky backing, that is very good for insulating the tank and the R/O out in the garage.

I have an 18Tog Duvet around my tank, for less than a score for the King size.

You haven't got off street parking with an outside electrical socket for fan heater? van port to park van under of a night?
What are you talking about? I put my extension out the back gate to my lockup and plug in a small oil filled Rad which is between my RO and Reels. Then I cover over with a 18tog single duvet, works for me.

This is where an immersion heater has a bonus. I have a big insulated panel at the back and a smaller one on the side of the tank where the pumps and reels benefit from the heat generated.

If it is going to be below about -2 I lift the panels out and the back of the van is toasty from the water in the tank.

I have an oil filled radiator in the garage which I can put in if I need frost protection when I don't heat the water for work.
It's a game of three halves!
