Moaning in advance
« on: June 09, 2023, 10:27:02 am »
It's going  to be hot next week chaps. 27 degrees on Monday where I am.

Worst time of the year to be a window  cleaner I was sweating enough in 21 degrees the other day.

Horrible

I may take one of my Goretex jackets off but still wear my ski pants. I’ve still got my heated seats on and use hot water. I’m off to the Gym. I’m 51 and part time.

I’ll be home before 12 everyday next week. Not because it’s hot, but because it’s what I do every day  ;D

I had a convo with a postwoman today and we all too briefly discussed our favourite best working temperature and weather. While yakking I kept my eyes off of her long, tanned athletic legs and shorter than usual shorts too. (She seemed to have no problem keeping her eyes off of my white spindly - at least twice her age - horse frighteners as well.  ;D)

We both agreed that 15 degrees was perfect.
It's a game of three halves!

I love the summer, absolutely love it.

Only find it hard Graft in the late 20’s to 30’s. Anything 26 and under is perfect.

Life's really too short to do a job that you hate...I feel sorry for you

I did finish early(1pm) last year when the temperature hit 39c  one day...you run the risk of heatstroke in that heat but 27c you should be fine.

I take plenty of fluids, fruit and sun cream, cap and sunglasses

Also air con is fantastic in between jobs and lunchtime if you have it in your van....👍

I wouldn’t ever buy a van without air-con.

I was working up in Sherborne yesterday afternoon where it was 26c-29c.

One house for 4.5 hours involving some gutter cleaning with the vac and fascia and soffit, at some odd angles.
The rest was just two fairly straightforward conservatories and about a dozen windows.

Ordinarily, my heart rate would be around 100-120 apart from a few moments of lifting or climbing.

I find yesterday's readings a little excessive considering the only unusual factor was the temperature.

Dazmond, you know about these things. Does that unusual to you?

Nothing to worry about mate....fascia and gutter cleaning is hard work!

How fit are you generally?I gather you don't smoke tobacco or drink heavily on a consistent basis?

Thanks for that, much appreciated.

Never really had any trouble before until I had my second covid jab at 52 and suddenly developed some heart issues,
Apparently they were just temporary but it took a good year or so before I felt properly well again.

Just been a bit mindful of it ever since.
