Dumped before the first clean!
« on: May 30, 2023, 05:42:37 pm »
Priced up a job last week.texted last night to say I'd be round first thing this morning(9am)and she replied with 'thank you'.

Turned up and electronic gates are locked!phoned her and pressed the buzzer...no answer! ::)roll

Then an hour later i get a text 'gate's open'...

No apology so I've just blocked her and deleted the job!

Its not often I get caught out with a messer these days but it occasionally still happens from time to time. ::)roll

I had one like that the telephone conversation was aggressive saying I took your number down and I want my windows cleaning regularly!
This is probably now my best customer I know what you mean Daz it looks disrespectful and rude but who knows what’s going on in her life at that time, might be worth taking a deep breath m8.

Absolutely not nigel!

If she can't be arsed leaving the gates  open on the first clean after a text the evening before, then ignoring phone calls and buzzer and then texts me an hour later expecting me to call round again.....

No thanks!😄

All of my jobs with electric gates I have managed to get the code to. I guess she’s already definitely dumped though !!

It’s a condition of mine to get the gate code before taking them on as a customer.

I learnt the hard way, got locked in a customers driveway for over an hour without a code and no answer on their phone.  >:(

Some won’t give it straight away and tbh I accept that no matter how professional you may look,it happens after a couple of cleans they normally just text the code.

I find it odd you think you've 'been caught out'. You make it sound like live is a competitive thing and you need to be on your guard. Are you hyper-vigilant?

She forgot you were coming, you're not the centre of her world; get over yourself.  She might have been playing with her drums, how would you hear the bell going if you were bashing one out too.

so did I - I had the code but couldn't reach the control pad  >:(
They left the settings so it didn't open from inside because of the kids  ::)roll

Maybe 10 am is first thing to her. Some of my customers don't start their day until mid morning and that's ok.
Some of my better work can involve working more to suit their time schedule than mine  its only window cleaning and  I think I would have done the first clean and ironed out any problems with time and frequency then.
If it worked out for both then fine if not then no worries.  ;D

Firing squad is too good for these types.

Pure evil.

She knew I was coming at 9am.its unacceptable to me that the gates were locked, ignoring the buzzer and my phone call so I moved onto my next job only to then get a text an hour later saying 'gate's open',no apology for wasting my time so she can f*** off!😃

She might have forgotten.
I'm not saying don't dump but it might not be a case for the televised electric chair because of a thoughtlessly locked electric gate.
I know it's a gate crime but as one gate closes.......

I might be miffed, it’s true, the same has happened to me, but you seem to take it personally.
