Sodium  hypochlorite (SH) is commonly used by pressure washing companies, cost about £20 for 20lts. mix it  at  1 SH to 4 parts water.

It has an amazing cleaning effect.

Growth just comes back after Hypo. Use this. https://www.restormate.co.uk/epages/15094.sf/en_GB/?ObjectID=56906964

That works on green growth, doesn’t have the power to remove black lichen spots, might kill it and hopefully it will eventually go away.

Hypo works within minutes and has a residual effect but not the long term effect of quats.

They are 2 different chemicals each having different benefits you can’t compare them.

How long should the hypo be left on the pavers for before power washing off?
Just my own pavers - not taking this up professionally ;)

You can just leave it on, or have a cup of tea then check it after 20mins if it’s done it’s job the rinse it off.

I did a drive yesterday, put it on then cleaned the patio, by the time I’ve finished the drive was clean and it had dried
