Those with a Hotbox / Boilier
« on: February 25, 2022, 05:56:47 pm »
I’m looking at enhancing my business by purchasing a hotbox.

I currently do mainly driveways and patios with my GX390 / WS202 setup but with a hotbox, would look into doing roofs as well.

Question is, even  with a hotbox, do you still do jobs using just cold water and hypo?

If you do, what dictates when you’d get the hotbox out?

I’m guessing the advantages are no need for chemical and lower pressure meaning you can do more delicate surfaces.

Any tips hugely appreciated.

Yes - if you don't need hot don't use it - however having a hotbox really opens up your capability to pressure other stuff (higher paying stuff) like brick cleaning - graffiti removal - paint removal -  chewing gum removal it makes these jobs very straightforward

I would say it can speed you up on standard work but offset that you are running a boiler so costs would be higher
