Carpet Tiles
« on: February 01, 2022, 05:22:54 pm »
One of my customers was renting a warehouse, and he put carpet tiles down over polished concrete. Now his tenancy is up, he has removed all the tiles but wants the glue residue removing.  What is the best option to do this?

Thanks

If it was done correctly the carpet tiles will have been stuck down with a tackifier adhesive which is water soluble. So copious ammounts of water, agitate and extract.

If a water based adhesive was not used you will need a machiune fitted with Super Skrapers to get it off

You're in trouble if he used non-standard water-based glue. In this case, you can use special solvents, but keep in mind that they can leave stains on the polished surface. I would contact a construction cleaning services. At least in Canada, these companies are popular with those who just finished their renovations.
