My van is 5 years old and it's got  just over 16000 miles on the clock so around 3200 per year....

I usually do double that in my car per year....

Same about 8k a year its a lot less than years ago when I used to have to go back round and collect.
Plus after years of refining my work I don't have to travel as far out each day.
The work I do is all within about a fifteen minute drive anything further out gets done by my subcontractor  ;D

Most of my work is within 15-20 min drive from home and I do less than half your annual mileage...does yours include private use too?

My van will be ten years old in early March. I have had it since new and it has just turned over 60,000 miles. I reckon it will be about 61k at ten years.

I have used it for a couple of long journeys canoeing in Scotland and one to the lakes. I also use it twice a year and drive to wash my caravan. So I reckon 90% for work.

450 a month for work.
It's a game of three halves!

Most of our work is within a 8 mile radius so probably around 3,000 per van.

I get a warning on the display in my van which is an Auto. I then have to take it onto a dual carriageway, switch to manual mode, and keep the revs highish for a mile or so to clear it.

My van is in for an MOT today so I'll find out if it passes on emissions....

Worryingly my missus who has the same vehicle, same age at 5 years old(the Ford tourneo car version, same engine)only just got through the emissions test and she does a lot more miles than me....

Fuel system cleaner like clean drive or similar in 1/4 of a tank day before. Get it up to temp and high revs for 5 mins on way to test center . Was advised of this when my old ranger failed on emissions few years ago. Do it as a matter of course now each year before MOT.

I'm not sure whether I should put fuel cleaner in a van with  dpf fitted and a diesel hot water system plumbed into my fuel tank...I think ill give it a miss mate...
