A week ago I left messages by email and got no response.

Apparently the back up system is working in that there is no message saying it has failed but who knows what will happen if you need to restore?

The emails don't bounce back but there is no response.

Not looking hopeful - anyone else know?

One can only ask what's happening to Aworka.

I've just thought.
How about
paul@georgesystems.co.uk

I've just fired up an old computer.
10 years ago the contact address was
users@georgesystems.co.uk

The last time I contacted Paul it was using the support@georgesystems.co.uk email address, but that was 6 years ago.
No problem with Aworka. All working fine.

I'm sure you mean to be helpful 8w but would you explain how that is useful to those trying to get to the bottom of the George situation?

You are surely trying to help Soupy however the thread was about George.

As I believe Aworka is in the same industry I took it that the bit you kindly highlighted in red meant that anyone could ask Aworka about what's happening to George and their options for George users.

They may  wish to switch as they (Aworka) historically do a product that George users sometimes migrate to.

Has anyone switched from George to Aworka?

Wasn't George the forerunner to Aworka? I thought that both programs were controlled by Paul and anyone else in his team.
So I though that we could contact Paul using Aworka's contact details.

Really? I thought they were separate. I hope you are right. Has anyone tried to contact Paul via Aworka?

Yes, I have.
The companies are separate as aworka is cloud based and owned by Chris
He changed some artwork for me and I asked if he knew if  Paul was ok, he didn’t .
I keep a copy of George as a data base
Shame there’s no communication at any level

Thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated. Do you know if Aworka can take on George customers and transfer them across easily?

I think any of the major programs could easily transfer George data into a more modern format

Been using george now for years but worried there maybe no more support and could probably do with taking a more modern approach
I’ve only got a small round compared to most guys as do carpet cleaning as well so what’s best software program out there and fairly simple to use on iPhone /tablet/Mac
Just had a quick look at a few and aworka seems a decent option for me

Any others you guys recommend

That's what I have done.

I now have George on a Windows tablet with Windows 10 on it. Will George work on Windows 11? I don't know.
Microsoft have now reported that this SurfaceGo tablet I'm using will not work with Windows 11. I know there are some work arounds to instal W11, but I will stick with w10 for as long as I can.

If you have a new laptop, down load the George demo version of there web site, then copy your George info on your old laptop onto a memory stick then load it onto your new lap top,it's not difficult I've done it a couple of times and I'm a thick window cleaner
