I still clean a bit of retail work some in a shopping centre it's a lovely bit of work especially in the winter.

I've had it for years even with a change of managers most are actually very loyal.I've even had some work off nationals for over 10 years so to say they get shot for cheaper or new managers is simply not true.

You can't claim there's no money in it, it's down to what you can or can't get but some do very, very well out of it.The largest uk window cleaning company clean loads of retail and he turns over a huge amount.

I did clean restaurants for a couple of TV Chefs and found it on the whole very lucrative.

My favourite one worked out at around £100 per hour which the manager thought was extremely cheap - it did involve a lot of glass mind.
Did the job for a few years until the unmentionable virus came along and wound up the business - shame really as the manager was a decent guy.
