What vans and wfp systems do you all run ?
« on: October 17, 2021, 07:08:36 pm »
Wondered what vans you guys run along with what size tanks and how many users set up.

I'm looking at getting another van with a flat tank and false floor. Needs to carry the usual wfp stuff along with a double dog cage day to day

Additional stuff will be a gutter vac and or jet washer next year
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

Plastic water tanks.co.uk will fit a tank moulded round the wheel arches once you’ve put board over the top you won’t hardly know it’s there,he used to have examples on his website his name is Neil.

MAN TGE. 1000 ltr tank
Toyota pro ace. 600 ltr tank
Vito  650 ltr tank
All vans  have full filtration and booster pumps fitted and work with 2 guys
We can get the gutter vac in any of the vans , but the pressure washing kit won’t fit in the Toyota

Doblo - single man 500 ltr set up - windows only

Transit 350 - 2 man 1000 ltr set up windows and gutter vac

Relay - 2 man set up 1000 ltr set up windows and gutter vac

Due to arrive - deliver 9 - 2 man 800 ltr set up - most likely a gutter vac as well

Going - vivaro 2 man set up 600 ltr tank windows with room for gutter vac

Hyundai iload comfort 2,500cc
650 flat tank with immersion heater
2 man set up (usually just me but my daughter helps if she is home from uni)
Home made and installed

Toyota Proace
700 Litre Ionics Pure2o system
It’s a 2 man system.

I don’t do anything other than window cleaning with my van, so no need to fit other equipment in.

In my view this is an ideal (single operator) setup, there’s nothing I’d change. I plan to employ soon, and will order the same van with the same system.

This sounds like a long wheelbase, high roof, 3500kg van category.

For most one man bands 500l is fine. I would worry about airlocks in a lay flat tank. I think the Grippa 500l tank looks good, it is 700mm high and would be well secured.

If you don't carry too much other gear a van with 850kg payload is the minimum requirement.

I have a 500l tank in a 15 year old dispatch.

One Custom with a 500 litre tank, 6 Experts/Dispatches - mostly one man 500 litre but two set up for two man for training and one Combo as a spare. Four vans have guttervacs. All run Pure Freedom systems which are fantastic value and don’tgo wrong.

Merc Vito and Ionic 600L tank, one man set up.  Had a Transporter before but they are so slow compared to this one, no regrets changing.

What gave you the maximum gip? The old leg or the old war wound?

Transit Custom with 750l flat tank, self built system with immersion heater.
Have a sheet of marine grade ply on top so all my pest control gear can be stored up and above nice and dry.
Have been building my own for 18 years so have it all bolted down and braced.
