No on the tools work -  a couple of hours here and there on specialist big works

most days its 30 mins in unit

3 to 4 hours out quoting

an hour doing paperwork

With the boredom of lockdown Iv actually went back up to around 30 or so hours a week on the glass, my system is fully automatic, at the end of the working day I just connect the hose and electrics and disconnect them in the morning, (full tank of pure and battery fully charged ready to go)  my wife does all the admin.

I’m usually done by 2 these days. Too many other hobbies to entertain me to keep me at work for too long.

Probably 20 to 25 hours cleaning. Few hours of admin.

Work Mon to Thurs

Honestly can't stomach any more than that I find it a slog as it is.

Probably average around 6 hours a day cleaning so 30 hours a week. Then about 2 hours a week quoting/invoicing/maintenance  etc.  That’s about the sweet spot for me at the moment.

8-12 usually, sometimes till 2pm.

Don’t mind admitting I get tired by that point. Strangely seem to have a lot of energy after work for the Gym/Golf though  ;D

I find that about the tiredness. As soon as I step through the door at home I’ve got a second wind.

I’d seriously take a long hard look at your lifestyle and diet if you are not even 40 yet and are getting tired after only 4 hours wfp window cleaning. That really shouldn’t be happening.

I would guess at least 3 hrs a week doing stuff that isn't isn't actually window cleaning. It was more pre pandemic but now have much less collecting to do as many custys have moved over to on line payment. Still have a lot who want to pay cash though.

i think for a few of u it’s just go out and earn your money, refine we’re u can and aim to work as little hours for a set amount that your happy with…… nothing wrong with that.
I work more than 40 hours a week on the glass/jet washing, always looking to expand tho and looking for the right person to add to the team.
For me it’s about building it up so when we take next person on there is enough work for him to go right Into.
I can’t do admin it’s soul destroying so employ some one to do it for me

It’s was more sarcasm than anything mate, don’t take it seriously, hence the ‘strangely I have energy for gym/golf’ etc.

Having said that, i do get tired, but it’s more boredom than physical tiredness.

40 hours roughly every week cleaning, quoting is done indirectly through photos so everything but cleaning less than an hour. Done 50+ hours this week if you count travelling to and from work but had the most lucrative week I’ve ever had  ;D

I used to be like that , but now my kids are grown up ,  these days I am more chilled and enjoy time off.
my days  of getting drenched are over.
having said that , living in wales it cant be all together avoided.

there is a difference between damp drizzle and what we had today. ie bouncing off the ground!

I get why wc's in the West of the counrty possibly feel the need to clean in the rain simply down to the amount of rain you get. I live on the east side in one of the driest parts of the country and simply wouldn't get away with it, I get enough grief if it's cloudy or the forecast says it might rain later. Can't say I'd want to anyway, I save facias for rainy days and hate doing them as a result.

the truth is if your shying off work on a regular basis just because of a bit of rain your losing thousands of pounds over the course of a year because of the knock on affect to your schedule....i know  as i never used to work in the rain in my trad days! ;D.......

nice day off tomorrow for me then a 6 hour day friday then im done until monday morning..... 8)

I do around 15 hours per week admin, not on the tools and no out quoting unless it's sunny.

I’m young enough to do 8 hours a day it’s hardly hard work is it haha I used to work like a maniac now hardly break a sweat- I have pretty much perfected my technique
I will work in light rain but if it’s forecast all day and you need wipers on more than intermittent then it’s a day off spend time with my family
If your messing your schedule up having a day off doing 4 days 5 hour weeks then
As said above I also live in an eastern area that’s mainly dry and some places people will turn you away if it’s too heavy
Luckily I can go houses where I know people won’t be home to clean when it’s raining if needed  ;D
