Low Moisture Upholstery Cleaning
« on: July 14, 2006, 09:47:07 pm »
Hi,

We all know the pitfalls of HWE with certain fabrics - does any one use the above system ie Von Schrader Esprit or similar to clean upholstery and what results can be obtained  :-\  :-\

Hi Doug

I had an esprit.  On certain suits it was better than extraction.  It was really good to be able to clean the suit then sit down in the newly cleaned armchair and write the receipt!!  Suites dry in about 15 mins.  Downside to the esprite was getting sub-surface dirt extracted from say a brocade style of fabric.  This is when you need HWE.  In the end i sold the machine to invest in other equipment.  If you can afford to have it as an extra and realise you cant do every job with it, its a good peice of kit to have.  But I wouldn't swap hwe for it.  I also never really got the "wow" results that i get from hwe which is worth putting up with the dry times for.

Got rid of my esprit too.No good for heavily soiled suites as lots of passes were required which left them just as wet as if you had hwe them.
