commercial wetroom floor best machine?
« on: March 13, 2021, 11:47:20 am »
Hi guys - Im looking to add a machine to my cleaning services for an office block i do and offer the service to my domestic customers.

Its to clean wetroom floors (have a slight raised grip to them)  and tiled floors.

I thought about scrubber dryers in particular the Karcher BR 30/4 C Scrubber Dryer its just shy of £1k. Or a small Multiwash.
I wanted the drying aspect as when i mop the commercial floors there still quite wet and potential hazard. Also the muck stains
under electric dryers are incredibly difficult to remove.

Id like to use the machine for this job but also as a way of earning its keep offer it to domestic customers on there tiled areas of home to clean grout lines and get a good clean surface.

Could anyone pleasse point me in direction before i contact suppliers whom will undoubetedley be pushing their product.

It is difficult with Wetroom floors and the type of tiles you are talking about.  They are probably the toughest hard floors to clean next to Porcelain Garage Workshop Floors.  We always use  Mono Rotary Machine 154rpm fitted with a brush.  We then either use a High Alkaline Cleaner or an Acid Based Cleaner coupled with honing powder.  Then we extract with a wet vac, neutralise rinse and extract again.
I am a supplier and have not mentioned anything we sell.   Recommending domestic customers with a scrubber drier is a great  idea.  The issue however is whilst it is the best solution for them the hurdle is the cost because a decent domestic size one is around a £1,000

Hi Kevin,
Thankyou for reply.

To be clear the karcher scrubber dryers around £1k are okay for domestic tiles floors and presumably good with cleaning grout lines up?

Regarding wetroon floor currently use a mop and bucket which okay for maintenance but really needs a deep clean every month.
I have an hos orbit vibe i bought last year which is a pricey bit of kit for cleaning ruddy toilet washroom areas, hence the ideal alternative. do you have a link to your products you mention?
Also  any recommendation for the rotary and what kind of money (will be around £600-800 plus vat?).
