Kind of a trade secret I think

In my experience if everyone makes money the situation will work and continue. If you look after people and pay them fairly and on time they will be far more likely to do a good job, and you get to be a nice guy.
We have all done work for people who pay late or badly, you don't bust a gut to do it and as soon as you can you drop it
I have a few jobs I sub out, I don't make much on them but the people who do them are really good and I don't have to worry about them.
If you take liberties why should a self employed person with an ounce of common sense carry on working for you, as soon as they can they will bin it.

So no answer really but you get my point.
A manager is generally someone who has been promoted to the position by someone else who didn't see them as a threat.
Hence all people are promoted to the level of their incompetence

Depends on what you both agree on surely ?

I mean if the guy is desperate for work he will take less and if you are desperate to offload some you will probably take less

Personally i would split it 50/50.

No point doing it if you are only taking a small cut as you have to organise the work, take the payments and deal with any complaints.

You have to be careful I do it myself and there comes a point you are employing them if they do too much for you.

Yes it probably better to have 2 or 3 people subbing for you are not giving them work constantly, have a break etc and keep records.

Bit of a farse but ive done it before when i got really behind

You can do what you like the only time you’d have to be able to explain it was when you had 2 people sitting across from you and you’re accountant, this is the good thing about using an accountant they stop you taking the P**s too much and let you know what might give you a pass or a pull.

If you need to pay for an accountant to stop you taking the p*** then you probably need to adjust your own moral compass.
