I think DA components do one that might be suitable. Give them a call or email.

Just watch the PSI ratings on the eBay ones.

The ones Gardiner sell are only rated at about 50 or 60 psi I believe.  Anything rated higher will work, but will flatten the battery quicker.

I use a 5 lpm / 60 psi one on my trolley and get just about a days use from a 10ah battery.  If you want a longer service life from the pump and fancy a bit of DIY electrical work, you could rewire your backpack with a 40amp relay.  I'd only recommend this if your warrantee has expired though.

We have a choice! We can do one or the other, the opposite, both, or neither depending on which way the wind is blowing.

My experience with these backpack pumps is that the pump itself is quite robust.  The weakness is in the pressure switch.  It isn't designed to be cycled anywhere near as much as when we use them for window cleaning.  It's the microswitch inside them that gives out.  Hence the suggestion of wiring in a 40amp relay to carry the switching current.  It was a suggestion made on this forum years ago that made sense to me so I tried it.  It's worked a treat for me.
The one I have on my trolley cost me less than a tenner on eBay and has been going strong now for three years or more and I use it all day 3-4 days a week.  I don't have a van mounted system.

Wouldn't have a clue where to start by wiring a 40 amp to it 😔

Can you follow a wiring diagram?  If so I'll post a diagram of how I have my trolleys wired up.

This is how my trolleys are set up

Below are two diagrams, one with flow controller and one without

I used Wago connectors to wire my trollies up.  In the first drawing I've ringed where I put them.

These are the relays I used:

Had an electrician friend recommend the Wago terminals.  Put them on last spring when I did my 12 month maintenance on my trolley.  So far no problems.  I also like the fact that they are reusable.  They made wiring up the trolley real easy, especially when following a wiring diagram.

The controller in the picture is this one from eBay mounted in a project box:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-9-60V-PWM-Motor-Speed-Governor-Controller-Switch-BMG-Digital-Display-12A/353058368538?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

So far it’s been very reliable.  I put it on last spring as the box on my old one was coming apart, and as the workings were sealed in resin I couldn’t reuse it.

We have a choice! We can do one or the other, the opposite, both, or neither depending on which way the wind is blowing.
