Who's using what and what's good and what's not?

 Im needing to invest in one as i am getting more gutter work with hard to reach places.
 Also are the cameras any good on them?

depends on what you want,

we still ue the omnivac which is 10 years old - but you can't get these now

Skyvac have a good rep, but are expensive - have a look at the gutter sucker range - I have a second hand one which is very good but came with 1.5" diameter poles (not so good) if they do 2" diameter poles I would consider them as a good all round choice without breaking the bank

I’ve had a couple of cheap carbon guttervac setups from guttercleaningsystems, couldn’t fault them.
I only had the small 1400 vac but did the job as I didn’t want to cart a big massive 3k vac, they supplied the poles in the bigger 51mm bore which is definitely better as they get pretty clogged up at times with things like broken tiles blocking them so I imagine the 38mm vac’s block a lot more.
I ended up getting rid as I cut back on my gutter jobs and only go up ladders on the occasional job If I fancy it and it’s safe now but generally I was always faster up the ladders with an gutterpro tool on one of my slx poles scraping it all into a bucket!

So Gutter sucker direct is not the cheapest place to by it and on another site where it's actually £300 cheaper it states the manufacturer of the gutter sucker is Spinaclean.
Seems like a decent buy, although the poles are apparently 44mm

I was going to ask why manufacturers don't fit side mounted inlets to get a better cyclone effect in the drum.

I made mine from flag poles and a 3000w eBay vac.

Works fine, if I was using it regular I would want carbon poles but for the odd job and less than £300 it's great.

Looking at industrial 3000w vacuum cleaners and the gutter vac units, they look the same apart from the branding and the price tag.

Same as anything else in life.

Stick a brand on it and charge 10x as much.

My vac is 3000w and £200.

Now I'm not saying that a £2000 one might not be slightly better but would it be 10x better

My Clarke (remember those!) gave up the ghost this afternoon cleaning a family member's house. First time having it out in a few years, sad to see it go as it made a few quid in its day but the poles were so heavy and a put off.

Watching this topic as I'm interested in buying a decent sized vac and carbon fibre poles.
