And how well do you sleep in general?

Be interesting to see how a bunch of people who all do the same job sleep. What time they head up the wooden hill etc...

I’m usually in bed by 10-10:30pm and asleep by 11 ish.

Generally sleep well, but don’t usually sleep right through.

I think being in this job helps sleep, it’s physical, and low stress.

Alarm goes off at 6:50am unless I’ve got certain commercial jobs on.

In general I would agree with this.  With Traditional cleaning perhaps more so, compared to wfp standard residential houses unlike commercial or plenty of wfp two floors n higher type of work.
Though it might depend on the level in which one runs their business, ie sole trader compared to sole trader with employees or bigger for instance.

One thing I’ve always struggled with is falling asleep within 30 mins like most people, usually takes an hour or two for me to fall asleep but usually once I drop off I stay asleep until morning but it is very frustrating trying to fall asleep for me, my minds just constantly racing, just like now lol

Is that down to thinking about the days activities or work etc for the next day?
How long have you been like this and have you tried calming the mind.
Lol Reading this forum won't help tho as that will engage the mind and wake you even more

Yeah just thinking about the day and the following day what I need to do and just life in general tbh I’m just always thinking. I’ve been like this the last 8-9 years (I had no trouble with sleep in my teens and early twenties, I’m 32 now), always takes me a few hours to fall asleep  :-\
I will stop reading the forum now and try get to sleep 😴

nathan if your struggling to get to sleep the worst thing you can do is stare at a screen for hours, knock the electronic devices on the head at least 2 hours before bed, drink some rum and sort your missus out and you ll be fine..... ;D

Bed for midnight, wake up at 0100hrs,  0200hrs, 0300hrs, 0400hrs, 0500hrs then get up and do a days work absolutely knackered.

Suffer from sleep apnea which I have had for about 30 years (now 55).

In my defence I learnt years ago to take advantage of a power nap so don’t really suffer but generally permanently knackered. 🤪😭👀

Pro plus is my best mate.

That’s interesting Ralphie.

I always used to wake up feeling knackered, and feel dead by 2pm. Got diagnosed sleep apnea.

Went to see a nose specialist in London who said I should have surgery done in my nose.

They didn’t do it through insurance so I went to a specialist at Nuffield Health. They scanned me and showed me that the inside of my nose was blocked with ‘pollops’ or something.

Anyway I had surgery inside my nose to make the airways their normal size. The surgeon who done the op had also had it done, he said I would feel like a different person.

First few weeks was a bit uncomfortable and had to put steroid drops in my nose for 3 months.

My oh my what a difference! I now sleep like a baby (who isn’t teething!), I don’t snore anymore (which is why my wife made me have the surgery), I wake up feeling refreshed and have energy all through the day til bed which is about 10:30. Wake up at 6, do office work for 45 mins, have breakfast, then go to work or get ready for a day with the family.

I’d definitely recommend getting your nose checked out as apparently it’s very common but often diagnosed as sleep apnea.

Nathan's having bedroom gymnastics downstairs with his lap-top whilst the missus is sleeping upstairs.

I have spent three separate overnight stays in the sleep clinic and it is defo sleep apnea, it is because of a jaw issue that relaxes whilst asleep causing throat muscles to relax and choking.

I’ve have had jaw surgically pulled forward and pinned but no help.

Just have to suffer. 😭😭😭😭

But thanks for the advice.

I might get up for a wee once, or twice if I had a lot to drink, but you might be pre diabetic going that frequently?

Lack of education, can't spell, speech impediment, lots of possibilities 😱
