I go to Greece for 24 consecutive days over the summer. Would like to go for the full 6 week holiday and am working towards being able to do that eventually.

personally id hate that....i like to keep a steady working schedule and work every week (working shorter days) rather than cramming lots of work into 2 weeks then 2 weeks off....

each to their own.... ;)

I had 11 days off last year, must have took me 2 months to get caught up.

Had a week off the other week and now a week behind.

great having the time off but not so great coming back to customers asking where you are

Paul has 'top trumps' me.
I have 2 weeks off in January and go to Thailand.
Just tell the custys in advance that their next clean will be later than usual.
They'll be fine, no problem.
Have a good one.

The last time was Nov/Dec 2015 for 18 days. Cruise to the Caribbean.
The time before that was August 2011. Family holiday to Corsica.
The time before that was June 2005. Family holiday to Bali.

Could do with another one fairly soon methinks.
It's a game of three halves!

Do the council charge you rent if you take a holiday or do they move an asylum seeking family in until you get back? I've never rented, just wondering like.
We look at them, they look through them.

I only work 16 hours a week anyway otherwise it messes up my benefits, my pension, six foster kids, carers allowance and disability payments.

Daz, room service is called room service because its there 24 hours. It’s there so they can flog your wallet when the restaurants and bars are closed.  Its in all hotels, 1* or 9*, its nothing special.

24 room service is part of the all inclusive so no extra charges in our hotel.... 8)

Couldn’t pay me to go AI. Too chavvy. Much prefer wandering around finding nice places to eat/drink.
Not just stuck in the same place with a ridiculous bracelet just to order local beers etc.
Each to their own though.

I can't abide hotel food. Take me out of the place and let me taste the locals grub. I go away to taste the place as well as soak up the sun.

Just as well sit under a sun-bed for two weeks if you're not going to absorb the culture.

Don't think I've been to a hotel since I was a kid.

We go abroad at least once a year but always go self catering.

Prefer my own space in a holiday home or villa
