‘Words’ we shouldn’t use....
Mike Halliday:
Just looking at my Facebook feed and came across an advert for a training course,. Is it just me or does everyone else have words that They never use?
A big one for me is ‘wet’ I never leave a Carpet wet I leave it ‘slightly damp’
(This is also a plug for a training course, which is always a good. Thing :D )
from edge2edge:
Hoover
Jonathan Evans:
Hi Mike that is a very good point, like you I never use the word wet. I too prefer the word damp along with vacuum rather than Hoover.
In this case however we are dealing with "Elf n Safety" in this context and considering how quickly people like to go to court these days I feel it is justified.
Damp is a degree of wet and I guess it is subjective. Best to keep the warning simple and graphic.....
Nobby:
I’m trying to stop saying ‘chemical’ but after 35 years of using the word I’m failing miserably.
RPCCS:
Chemical yeah a word that strikes fear into customers. Like your going to use wmd on their carpets lol.
I try to use the word solution.
