Concrete floor builders clean up 3000sqm

(1/1)

Hannah Gomes:
Hi all

We have been asked to look at cleaning up an industrial unit that has been fitted out with toilets and kitchens. 6 seperate units in total. Roughly 3000 sqm is bare concrete floor which just needs the dust removing and cleaning off but nothing polished or anything as these are only going to be workshops. Unfortunately the units have equipment and seating areas so it's got to be done around stuff to an extent. What is the best machine we could hire to do this and any opinions on the price I should be charging per sqm for this would be a help. Due to the vastness its a huge job but it's not complicated if it was a small space you would literally be vacuuming and mopping.  Thank you in advance.

Kev Martin:
Use an Industrial Vacuum then with a pre separator to remove the dust.  I am happy to rent you one!  However, I would point out that I have never seen an Industrial unit of any size with a concrete floor that just needs the dust removing.  Once the dust is gone all the stains and spills will become clear. ;D

Hannah Gomes:
Thank you yes I know it will need some sort of cleaning we were thinking of some kind of scrubber drier. Are you in Birmingham in which case not too far from us. Have you any recommendations for price per sqm? In terms of how well it needs cleaning the areas are being used as workshops nothing fancy.

Many thanks Hannah

Giving you M2 price without seeing it and at least doing a test area is next to impossible.  Sure you could guess but it is likely to come back and bite you hard.  At the very least I would need to see photos of the area!  A scrubber dryer may work but what size?  Battery  or mains?  Walk behind or ride on? Single head or twin head?  All relevant to size M2 but moreover, accessibility, size of individual areas.
