Is thete anything that will shift a stain of the above? I had one before Xmas on a cream carpet, a red hot full cup of tra. Left an orage stain about 1m sa, tried tea and coffee remover, wouldn't touch it, oxidiser wouldn't touch it eithef., not even with a bit of heat from a hairdryer

I like to start off with an acid mixed at about 8:1 left to dwell then rinsed. Once all else has failed though spotters that contain sodium metabisulfite are good Craftex Shift and their Coffee and Stain Remover are both good. Be careful with using Sod met though as it is controlled bleaching and you can go too far.

But if the stain wont shift with t c remover or oxidiser, is using the stronger stuff not going to damage the carpet?. I was told in my training, don't try and be a hero, some things just aren't removable, and if you keep trying you could cause further damage.

Make sure when using anything with sod met in that you wear gloves and vent it well.
