I think one of the things to do to keep up to date is not to take on the plethora of walk ups where they want a regular clean....but the actually want to screw you over and get a cheap one off

That is all

Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!

I do the same with regard new customers asking prior to Xmas, fob them off until new year, making sure regular customers come first.  Come January is when you find out if the new ones were genuine or not  ;D

How do the employers work it for time off, do you tell them to keep x amount of days for this time?

There's 18 of us. Some will be off from the 24th some haven't got enough holidays left. The plan is to get the regular work done by the 24th then get all the odd jobs and new customers done between Christmas and New year.

On track so far.

Your making a rod for your own back....STOP offering an inside window cleaning service and they'll never ask you again! ;Dthat's what I do....I can't be arsed with them...unless of course you don't mind cleaning them.....

Not sure where I am with this at the moment.  It looks like I'll need to work Christmas Eve to get a bit in front, but I'm hoping to take the Thursday and Friday off after Christmas.  I'll need to do a little bit on New Years Eve as it's a weekly job.

from my experience when ive planned to work in between xmas and new year it has never happened.....when the time comes it doesnt feel "right" to be out there cleaning domestics, commercial can be done any time, even xmas day if you have no family.....

This is third consecutive month I've done a three week month thank god the weather is ok! I had a week in Benidorm in October and 12 nights in Tenerife last month. I'll be finishing work on 21st then back on 7th January after spending 10 nights in Portugal for new year!

It’s amazing how many people REALLY struggle to find a window cleaner all year round but try REALLY hard in December.

I must have had 10 phonecalls this week alone. Told all of them I’m too busy cleaning for my regulars but I’ll happily do the first clean the first week in January.  Funnily enough none of those 10 were happy to wait 3 weeks 😂

Weve had some ill health in family so ive fell slightly behind. So working this sat and early start in the morning of each day next week should see me finished for the month and so plenty of time off till early jan.
Gives me plenty of time to finish my online taxes 😂😂😭

On all my advertisements for extra work I always put that I do not take on "one off" cleans and funny enough i dont get those enquiries 🖒

I'm proper behind!
The missus has been quite ill, so i've had to take time off to look after her.
She's on the mend now so i'm happy, but I could do with stopping the clock for 2 weeks  ;D

No new custys, no walk ups and a little cull will help soften the blow.
