Cleaning old brick

Hi guys .got area to clean about 20x2m.The dark red brick is old and smooth.it is covered in black staining got a cold petrol jet wash and customer wants instant result.what's best chemical to use please.ive heard hydrofluoric acid based products do the job.ive tried biocides/hypo/hydrochloric but not removing staining.cheers
