No problem Danny, you really do seem like a lad who will listen to differing opinions and sift through them reasonably.
Every bit of advice is not relevant to all situations but in my experience, if you are in the position to invest in a business and you have the drive to succeed, you should be ok.

If you have two guys plus you, buy cheap?
Why
The vans breaks down....your screwed

If you can't afford a big deposit and buy it new, go lease a brand new van.
It will look good and bring work.
Pull up to do a quote in an old poopter and people think you do a poop job and or are a chancer before you've even given the quote

Just my opinion.

Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!

Ihear what you boys are saying. Fresh van, fresh look  ;) .. within the next week or so i should have enough for a half  decent deposit for a new vivaro. Now i need more advice in the way of equipment. Been looking at poles etc and it seems the slx is the one most seem to prefer. Most of my work is second story building with the odd 3 storey here and there, so maybe the slx 27 would suit?

Have loads of work on atm hence the need to expand a bit. Hopefully with the new system we will be able to complete work quicker and still work when the weather isnt so great, reducing the amount of time we are behind in any month.

Just on that figure.  When switching from trad to wfp by how many percent would you expect turnover to increase? Im sure it will speed us up but i just dont know by how much roughly.

I think you mean the clx 27?

The clx is the red pole from gardiners. It's fine, but not ideal.

If your budget allows them jump up to the slx 25. It's more rigid, and 25 feet will clean anything that your reaching with a ladder now.

An 18foot pole will reach most standard 2 storey houses. The 25 will reach over conservatories and even some three storey depending on type.

Jonny,

Gardiners are now selling an SLX27  :D

It kind of came in without much fanfare.

Danny, it might be worth reading this thread

http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=175715.0

Also search change to wfp or similar
Lots of good threads on this subject
You need to sift the good advice
I think you are on the right track by buying decent kit though
You can diy a van system easily enough (if I can do it, anyone can ;D)

Everyone has their own speed
Just don't get OCD and you'll earn more with wfp
