Yeah, you're right, having looked again its a compression fitting !tlwcs is there any reason why you want to use that flexi hose ?

Whatever you do you are probably going to have to connect a short bit of 1/2" hose to the end of it. I'd sooner just buy a length of the braided reinforced hose and be done with it, far simpler. Gardiners sell it by the meter as do a lot of places.
