using hot water all year round
« on: April 20, 2016, 06:33:47 pm »
ive still not turned my gas off yet and i doubt i will. ;D

it was warm this afternoon and my water was on min but the water was quite hot!

snail trails and birdmuck  defo easier to clean off esp with my "splash and dash" style of cleaning with a high flow.

windows also virtually dry in 2 mins! ;D

anyone else using hot during the spring/summer months?i just dont like using cold water anymore.it seems to slow me down.

Not switched mine on at all since last winter. To be honest I can't be arsed with it - the constant insurance niggle, supposedly turning the gas off between every job, changing gas bottles and the expense.

Yup. Love it.

My immersion tank keeps the water at about 45 degrees all day.

It's so easy for me without he need of lpg or diesel heater.

Just plug the van in at night and it's all ready in the morning.

Cost me about £3 a day in electric (I think) but I easily make that back in speed and less water usage too.

I may stop using it in a month or so, but really loving it at the minute. Can't see me stopping.

easier mate for sure.i have lots of work near very large trees/shrubs and farmers fields and hot water on the longer frequency cleans and larger properties defo helps.the windows will be getting a lot of pollen and insect poo on them over the next 4 months or so as well as spiders eggs/nests.

its costs me around £3-50-£4-00 in gas to use hot all day.

I use hot everyday, and have done for the last 8 years or so.
As ive said on this forum numerous times, imo using hot during the winter is just for ease of use, shpple hoses and not freezing jets.
Using hot for the rest of the year, aids cleaning, more pollen spots, spiders poo, snail trails etc.
I dont have the water boiling hot ( unless im cleaning conny roofs/fascias etc, just nice and warm.
It costs me around 1% of my weekly takings,  this is using autogas from the garage at 59p per litre.

I take it you have a seperate lpg tank? Or a refillable bottle?

how many of you have had your gas set ups inspected by a gas safe engineer?

screw it to the plywood, leave a door open for ventilation? oh that'll be alright

maybe to a inept indiviual like yourself dazmond but putting other people at risk with a bodged up unsafe gas installation you just should not do

why dont you give a call to a gas safe engineer and ask for a check up and a professional opinion not just a "I know I will ask the forum experts on clean it up"

you could even pop to the pub for a liquid lunch whilst your installation is being checked "and labelled as a unsafe death trap"

When I had an L5 or whatever they were I had mine looked at by a corgi engineer. He spat his dummy out. I decided not to bother once I changed vehicles.

If you employ workers then maybe is not the best option. However I do know of one supplier that installs gas heaters that are so say legal. Also I do know for a fact concept20 or whatever they are called their heaters were  lpg not diesel.

there is nothing wrong with my tank and frame set up or my gas heater.im just using common sense.in fact i now have the perfect set up that will last me a few years without spending thousands of pounds.i reckon ive saved myself 4k-5k overall.

more money for the important things in life like holidays, clothes and home improvements. :)

when your a sole trader you save money where you can.spending loads of money on pro systems/hot boxes when a simple solid DIY set up does the same job is called being sensible IMO.especially when you do very little mileage a year(under 3000miles)driving an 11 year old van.(05).just used for work. ;)
