wax on conservatory roofs

randomly met a conservatory cleaner, today" he said that he used hot water to wash off the roofs and finished off with a wax put in through the brush" vikan  the kit looked no different than ours but have never heard of using wax to finish off roofs
anyone any ideas?

Not heard of it through the brush. Seen the wax they use to protect after tho (by hand)

Maybe the chap was on about a 3m coating product for glass?
