New Years Goals New
« on: December 30, 2015, 11:04:38 am »
Thought a positive post looking to the future might be good and seeing other people being ambitious always gives me motivation.

What is everyones goals for next year?

Mine at the moment are:

Get a larger van with two man setup & approx 800l tank.
Continue to refine the round and get back leafletting & canvassing asap to get enough to bring someone out alongside me.
Add gutter vaccuming as an add on service.

Always good to see peoples aims at all different points in their business.

Happy new year in advance!
Tom

Ours is just to continue growing and to finally move our business in to a proper unit on an industrial estate. If we can add another one or possibly two vans we'll be happy with that.

2017 however sees total world domination  ;D ;D ;D

I don't work well under pressure.

My goal was set at the start of my trading year (August), which is to grow by 13.7 percent. Despite the 6 storms that have hit in almost as many weeks, I am ahead of target with the best of the weather and longer daylight hours to come, so I am happy with the way things are at the moment.

Best wishes to you all,
John

Why 13.7%? Seems a rather random figure.

I'm determined to get below £50k next year, get one pane of glass perfectly clean, work more than two hours without swearing at my hose and have more sex.

To be honest I don't think any of the above is achievable - but I'm going to have a good try.

It's worked out on how much I earned last year, and the figure that I would like to hit this year. The difference between the two worked out at 13.7 percent.  :)

My goal for 2016 is to try to keep out of the way from the nagging wife as much as possible.
I've been saying that for donkey years but failed miserably. The good news is I'm also going deaf so 2016 might not be so bad after all.

Also, when my hose gets tangled around someone's wheelie bin, I want to stop saying FOR FCK SAKE  ;D

In 2016 I'll just keep doing what I have been - business is going well, expanding steadily - I want to keep that momentum going & maybe try a couple of new areas of marketing,.. I was thinking a Youtube channel might be a fun project...

I sure many of your clients would find it useful on how to update their site to keep it looking fresh ;)

Yep - thats the plan. Currently I do videos specific to their site and upload them "unlisted" to youtube so only people I send the link to can view them - - but individual videos mean I can't go into depth on some areas,...  so I'm thinking a series of videos on a generic wordpress website going through every element in detail would be a great resource on top of the site specific training vids.

To turn over an additional £10k.  I have just about got enough room to squeeze in that amount of extra work, the main question being whether my body can take it.
