I saw this on FB looks like a really good idea, surly because of the low Center of gravity and covering the complete floor it wouldn't require bolting down like normal upright tanks?
I think it would be a great idea if you were to lease a van to save drilling through the floor.

Looks just like a black wydale flat tank to me.
I see in the pic they have fitted some kind of metal stops bolted through the floor to stop it moving about still. I'm also guessing the stops are on all sides of the tank too.

i cam up with that idea 5 years ago when i first started window cleaning.

The issue then was air locks and getting the most of the tank.

Stephen has found a valve/vent or whatever to prevent this now.

The only issue with these tanks is they are 400/500L So if you wanted an 800 ish it would be alot higher making it hard to get pressure washers in and out.

But i have to agree they are safe.

My idea was 2 tanks like this linked together. So its even safer.

He does yeah, but with the height being so small, vent/vacuum is a real issue.

A supplier pointed him the right direction to these special valves/vents i believe.

Flat tanks are ok but are susceptible to air locks when they start getting low when the water starts sloshing about. Not ideal either if working in a hilly areas, gradients, road cambers etc so will need to remember which way around to park the van.

top bloke and good to deal with , he even answered his phone one night while in the bath (not to me my husband) that service for you

he makes all sorts of stuff and we have bought I good few bits off him , most are made to order weather its 2 pole rack or a 7 pole rack  he can make it , defo worth a call to this man

his tanks are great and were in talks withhim to do one for my airstream

ive had a couple di bottle holders off him too, will make pretty much anything to spec if you ask him, even does frames tanks that still bolt to the floor!
i'd recommend him too.

I have used  a standard flat tank for over 4 years and only had a few airlocks i cant understand why people bother with upright tanks or tanks that take up a lot use able space  ,

I plan on having a bespoke tank made by Stephen of www.aquaeouspf.co.uk  next year for my truck the design and build quality looks top notch .

In what way ?
I think a bench mark has been set by a certain supplier that we come to expect, we forget that smaller bespoke companies maybe one man bands or maybe just a couple of people without the manpower to stand by the phone or be constantly answering e mails.
Had a tank made by Stephen for my ranger, very happy with quality and price.

I've tried a flat tank and did not find it very practical for my needs. What with the larger foot print there was limited space left for the pressure washer kit, guttervac etc in the back without having to put a false floor in. In doing so made it much more difficult to load heavy kit into the back even using ramps so I soon knocked that idea on the head.

I guess if you don't intend to carry extra heavy bits of kit about and just want that type of tank for wfp work then would be ok.

i have to admit my double di holder took a while to come but as somone else mentioned hes had health issues so cant really grumble and when they came they was exactly to the design i wanted and fitted perfect, if i ever need a tank making i will be going to him
