Just got asked to clean a domestic property of 2.5 million. Must be one of my dearest yet. Better whack some rich tax on that.

I framed my very first Coutts cheque many years ago...how sad am I   ;D

This was probably the most expensive single item I have every cleaned apart from multi million pound properties that is. https://www.carpetvista.com/carpets/Farahan/carpet_254229-Farahan.html

Mind you at the time the value of the rug like this one I could have bought my house outright and have money left over so made sure I did not cock it up as you do.  ::)roll

I don't do much domestic but have a couple of large mult million pound houses  do one and the house is stunning but it's a nightmare booking it in,the owners are very rarely in the uk and  the house can only be entered via electric gates over the years I found them to be a bit of agro.
these type of houses all ways need prior notice and if there not permenant  uk residents that 2 monthly soon goes to 3  or 4 monthly.
Defiantly add rich tax

My dad cleaned a huge pile today - bought for 8 million a few years  back and rumoured to have had double that spent on it during renovation - - its now up for rent if any of you lads feel like a move to Ireland? http://www.myhome.ie/holiday-homes/brochure/ballynatray-estate-ballynatray-youghal-county-cork/3134065

My dad refuses to clean it when the owner is home though - the tight git always tries to stiff him on the price!

I can think of a few places I clean that would sell for 1 million+ and a couple of them for 2 million+.  That's not too difficult in the south-east when the properties are on an estate of similarhouses.  The only reason I charge more than standard rate is due to location i.e. a bit isolated.  You have to make some sort of allowance for extra travel costs and consider how many standard houses you could have cleaned in the travel time.  I don't charge extra though just because I assume someone can afford it.

They haven't even got an indoor swimming pool, mate.

No wonder you had trouble getting paid.

Their poverty disgusts me.
